The book feels like it was written by a thirteen year-old boy. Or certainly by someone who has zero understanding of how adults, women, or adult women function. Both characters, one in her late 30s and the other in her late 20s, act and talk like teenage girls, which is quite off-putting.
The story is poorly written.
